Issue

You are seeing a "The description for Event ID ( XXX ) in Source ( FM Q-Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event:" in the Windows Application event log.

Resolution

This is an uncommon occurrence although can occur when installations occur and the Windows Event Viewer is open during the installation/update phase, or you are viewing an event log on a computer where the FollowMe Q-Server software is not installed.

To resolve the issue on a computer where the FollowMe Q-Server software is installed one should run the following command from the computers RUN command which should resolve the issue:

"C:\Program Files\Ringdale\FM Q-Server\FollowMe.exe" -install

NOTE: You may need to adjust the path to concur with your installation directory.
